I was a serious snorer. According to my wife, it was bad at night. See that obstructed airway, causing your blood oxygen levels to dip while you sleep? What do you think causes that obstruction? It is fat, plain and simple. It can be cured. I have been cured. Losing 70 pounds, I don't snore anymore and there is no sleep apnea. The world would have you treat it with oxygen masks and other "cures", but you and I know the only way to treat this is by losing weight.

Hi, Tim! I was recently referred for a sleep study- very likely sleep apnea. It's been a wake up call, and I'm so glad I found your blog. I look forward to mining through your old posts and keeping up with you from here. Warm regards!

Wow, this was one of my first posts a few years ago, thanks for commenting on it. Hopefully you'll also use the opportunity to "wake up" and do what needs to be done. If you don't know where to begin, definitely look through my "Weight Loss" link at the top of my site, I have several articles. Also consider hiring a personal trainer/dietitian. I know that seems like a luxury, but compared to the price of renting oxygen machines and all of the other expenses related to being unhealthy, it's pretty cheap. Good luck on your journey, let me know if you need any additional advice.
