A year from now you'll be glad you started today. Believe me, I am. Just look at the difference between me on the left and me on the right. The "before" me was tired, sick, lazy unhappy and fat. The "after" me is energetic, healthy, happier, muscular and thin.
It's true that just being fat won't make you unhappy and being thin won't automatically lead to ultimate happiness. But let's face the facts here, there are tons of things that I don't miss about being fat. Just carrying around that extra load was causing me some serious health issues which were lowering the quality of my life. The main reason I am doing this blog is to help lift and inspire others to do what I did. I know how you feel, I've been there. I tried many times to lose the weight. I was discouraged, I felt like I would never really be healthy or active again. But I did it. It wasn't easy. In fact, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But it was also one of the most rewarding things I've ever done as well. And I didn't have to wait, the rewards started immediately. Don't make this hard. All you have to do is say "I'm going to start loving myself, and I'm going to start treating my body with the respect that it deserves." Say it, and your journey has started. It's that simple. Of course, you need to back that statement up with action. Some find it easier to start with small changes, others (like me) went all out, all at once. I've compiled a list of blog entries that give more information on how to undertake your journey. Everyone's journey is different, but everyone can attain the goal of physical fitness. That includes you! You aren't some freak of nature that doesn't have the genetics to lose weight. The math of weight loss is simple, it just requires some knowledge and attention. Above all, however, you need to believe in yourself. I'm sure you've let yourself down many times, I know I have. But a past failure doesn't dictate your future. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true. You can make this time a success. But you have to tell yourself that you're willing to do whatever it takes, because the effort is worth the reward. If you're to the point that I was and are ready to live a happier and healthier life then what are you waiting for? A year from now you'll be glad you started today.

That picture illustrates your point perfectly... there are always a million reasons to not start something, but once you make serious progress you will wonder why you didn't start sooner.

Sorry I missed your comment a while back, thanks for viewing my post. I do believe that weight loss is about 80% mental, 20% physical.
